measure twice · walk through once

One visit. Three real quotes.
No strangers parading through your house.

Getting renovation quotes usually means hosting contractor after contractor, waiting on numbers that never come, and comparing quotes that don't match. There's a better way.

How it works

STEP 1

One visit, one plan

A trained, background-checked pro (not a contractor, nothing to sell you) visits once, measures and photographs everything, and writes up a complete plan of your project. It's yours to keep.

STEP 2

Contractors compete on the same plan

Licensed, insured contractors we've checked out each price that exact plan. Because they're all quoting the same job, you can finally compare numbers side by side.

STEP 3

Your money stays yours until work is done

No big checks up front. Your payments sit protected and get released stage by stage, only after each part of the job is finished and you approve it.

What you get

A complete written plan of your project — every measurement, photo, and detail, so you understand your own renovation before anyone starts.

Quotes you can actually compare: same job, same details, honest numbers.

Protection to the last day — you pay stage by stage as the work gets done, and we collect signed proof that everyone who worked on your house has been paid, so nothing comes back to bite you later.

This is not a lead site

Lead sites sell your phone number to five contractors and get paid whether or not anything gets built. Then your phone rings for a month.

We never sell your contact information. Contractors pay us only when a project actually happens, so our only incentive is a job that goes well. Your visit deposit is credited back in full when you hire through us.

Before you book: what you're agreeing to (tap to read)

The visit is visual and non-invasive. Your scoper measures and photographs; they don't open walls or move stored items. The scope document records what was observed and, explicitly, what wasn't. It is not a licensed home inspection, appraisal, or code certification.

Hidden conditions. Anything concealed (inside walls, under floors, in blocked areas) is handled through written contingency disclosures that tell bidders how to price the unknowns; it isn't something a visual visit can rule out.

Our responsibility has limits. Our liability for the walkthrough and scope document is capped as stated in Section 9 of the Homeowner Agreement (the greater of $500 or the fees you've paid us). Contractors contract with you directly, and we don't guarantee their workmanship; your protection there is the milestone payment system, where your money releases only as you approve completed work.

Your deposit. $50, credited against your first project payment when you hire through us, refunded automatically if we fail to deliver the promised bids, retained as the walkthrough fee if you get bids and walk away. A second missed appointment forfeits it as a trip fee.

Disagreements follow a documented process ending in binding arbitration in [Somerset County], NJ. Full text: Homeowner Agreement (v1.1).

We only schedule your walkthrough when enough vetted contractors are ready to bid your project. The $50 deposit is collected at confirmation and credited to your project.
